- One-Time Passwords (OTP's).
Nationally, the Credit Union has received a number of reports recently of members receiving telephone calls, emails and SMS messages purporting to come from the Credit Union, advising members that their account requires an action to be carried out on it. Members are invited to either follow a link, contact a telephone number or give specific informaiton about their credit union account.
PLEASE BE AWARE THAT:
• The Credit Union will never contact you by text or email asking you to click a link to verify your account.
• The Credit Union will never contact you and ask you for a PIN, Login Details or a One-Time Password that may have been sent to your phone.
• Emails or SMS messages claiming that your account is locked or blocked are fake.
• Messages claiming that urgent action is required are generally fake.
• Never click on links in messages. Always manually enter a web address into the address bar of your browser.
