Supporting Local Sport Stars

Rebecca Sexton, a member of Carrigaline Basketball Club, recently represented Ireland in the women's U18 European Basketball championships which were held in Sophia.

Unlike most other sports, Basketball Ireland does not receive government funding to help cover the costs associated with sending players to championships like these. These costs have to be met by the players themselves. Crosshaven Carrigaline Credit Union was delighted to present Rebecca with a cheque to help cover a fraction of the cost of her expenses.
