At Crosshaven Carrigaline Credit Union, our members are at the heart of everything we do. We strive to give members the best service possible and continually work to improve what we offer. To be eligible for membership, you must be living or working within our common bond area (i.e. Crosshaven, Carrigaline or Tracton).

How To Become A Member And Open An Account

Joining is easy!  You can join by simply completing and submitting the online membership application form below. Once the credit union has received your application, a member of staff will contact you to complete the application process. Once your application has been reviewed and approved, you will be asked to call into either the Crosshaven or Carrigaline office to sign your member application form and lodge a minimum of €5 to open your account. You must meet certain criteria e.g. live, work, study or attend school within our common bond. The following documents will be required to join:

Photo ID

Valid passport or driver's licence.

Proof of Address

utility bill, bank statement or Government document dated within the last six months.

Your PPS No.

Social Services Card, Payslip, or any revenue documentation.

Proof of working or studying in the area

Written confirmation on headed paper from Employer or College

How do I open an account for a minor under 16?

You can join by simply submitting the required documents listed below:

Birth certificate

Birth certificate for the child.

Childs Passport

Childs Passport if available.

Proof of Address

Parent(s) / Guardians(s) utility bill, bank statement or Government document dated within the last six months

The child's P.P.S. number

The child's P.P.S. number on an official document.

Am I eligible to join?

To be eligible for membership of Crosshaven Carrigaline Credit Union Limited you must be living or working within our common bond area (i.e. Crosshaven, Carrigaline or Tracton).

The common bond is the factor which unites all the members of Crosshaven Carrigaline Credit Union Limited - it is what all members have in common i.e. where they live/work. Because of the common bond, all members have the good of their credit union at heart; they know and trust each other.

  • Loan life protection and life insurance at no direct cost to you. Once you maintain a balance of €200 in your shares you qualify for Death Benefit Insurance. €1,000 is available towards funeral expenses, peace of mind and security for your loved ones.
